Disappointed with our experience with MC Glass after spending about $2,000 on window repairs. Most frustrating was the extensive paint damage they left on our antique windows—something we were never warned about, and they made no effort to repair. They also worked on a stuck garage window with one cracked pane (as noted during the estimate). After 30 minutes of trying to unstick it, they told me two more panes were cracked and needed replacing—without mentioning they’d already been working on it. I asked for a quote before proceeding, but they replaced them anyway. Reviewing our security footage, it's clear they likely cracked the panes during that initial 30 minutes. When I brought this up calmly with the owner, he became defensive and angry, saying he was “insulted” and didn’t have time for “fighting.” In the end, I offered to split the cost since I couldn’t conclusively prove the damage—but overall, the lack of professionalism, communication, and accountability was disappointing. Wouldn’t recommend.

MC Glass at 3518 Dempster Street in Skokie, IL is the absolute best. The owners, Ben & Debera Beaton are friendly, knowledgeable, and price their work very fairly. They fixed / repaired a double hung garage window by glazing two new double-glass panes. All other glass companies which I previously contacted all wanted to sell me a completely new window and frame. I found MC Glass by searching these keywords: "Best window repair company near Evanston, IL." It surely is. I read their reviews, visited the location, brought the two sashes into the shop. Then, Ben measured what he needed to order and a few weeks later the glass panes came in to the shop, it was installed with 3 hours, and I put the two panes back into place and paid one fifth of what the other companies wanted for a completely new double hung window. I am a life-long customer of MC Glass. Mike C.

I visited MC Glass today for repairs to my large wall mirror & the hanger. What a great experience! Deborah & Ben could not have been nicer! Great job!

Had used MC Glass a few years ago to cut a large mirror in half and bevel the edges. They did a great job with the mirror. This time we needed 4 glass double pane windows with almond color muntins/grids replaced. They measured the 4 window glass and told us the manufacturer they deal with usually only has white muntins but they'll check and let us know. 9 days later we haven't heard anything so we call MC Glass they said Ben will call back, 13 days later still no call back so we call again and this time they just tell us manufacturer only has white. It sounded like he either forgot or didn't follow through with checking on our window issue. Would have been great if they would just give us a courtesy call instead of us chasing them for an answer and leaving us hanging for 3 weeks. MC Glass does good work but customer service not so much.

I love these guys. My wife and I ordered a custom cut mirror from MC Glass bathroom. They couldn't have been more courteous, and their prices were very fair. Our mirror was ready in only three days despite them saying it might take a week to 10 days. When we got it home we noticed a minuscule bubble in the middle of the mirror. It was really tiny, but we knew it would drive us nuts. We brought it back to them and they took it back without question or hesitation AND apologized. Two days later we got a new replacement from them free of charge, perfect and ready to go. We will definitely be coming back for future purchases.
